SYRACUSE — Two cases were approved at the regular Syracuse Board of Zoning Appeals meeting Thursday evening, May 17. Both requests were for variances.
BJM3’s petition for a variance was approved as presented. The business, Elite Design Team, wants to allow two commercial uses on a commercial tract of ground — a beauty salon and retail sales. The property is located on the south side of Bowser Road and 200 feet east of Huntington Street at 201 E. Bowser Road. Located just east of the gas station, the existing beauty salon is adding retail space.
Ryan Beer’s petition for a variance was also approved as presented. The variance allows Beer to construct a second residence on a tract of ground and to allow the new residence to be constructed 10 feet from the rear property line, where the ordinance would require 15 feet.
Beer’s property is located at 603 E. Medusa St.
There was no remonstrance on either petition.
The next meeting is at 6 p.m. June 21, at Syracuse Town Hall.
