SYRACUSE — A cool crisp breeze and temps in the 70s served as the background for this year’s Oakwood Fine Arts Festival. The festival started at 10 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m. today, Saturday, June 22.

Chautauqua-Wawasee hosted the event at Oakwood Resort in Syracuse.

This annual family-friendly event brings artists from around the area and gives the lake community the opportunity to experience fine art in an up-close and personal, yet casual outdoor setting.

Artists included pottery makers, woodworkers, and jewelry designers, among other talented people.

The juried fine arts and crafts festival was held outdoors at  Oakwood Resort. Featuring award-winning artists, a children’s art experience, entertainment and food, admission to the festival is free, so bring the family for a full day of fun.

Over 30 artists from around the region showcased their talents.

Live music took place all day, featuring Gary Gerard, Will Certain and Beez and the Rocker.

Kosciusko County Community Foundation hosted a children’s art activity. Children also colored T-shirts to take home.

Several food truck vendors served hungry festival attendees.
