NORTH WEBSTER — Santa made his list and checked it twice before appearing at the North Webster Community Center Saturday, Dec. 16.

Breakfast with Santa was a hit this morning with many families with children of all ages attending the holiday event. Children from baby and toddler age to pre-teens had a chance to tell Santa himself what they wanted for Christmas. Santa was pleasantly surprised to discover all the children were nice. They told him what they wanted for Christmas. Requests ranged from books and video games to toys and dolls.

The free breakfast was served by the Lakeland Kiwanis Club. The food included pancakes, sausage and eggs and an assortment of beverages.

The Culver Family Wellness Center, located inside NWCC, was the site of a sit and chat with Santa Claus. Children also got a chance to make crafts.

People were also able to walk around the community center and view The Kiwanis Club’s Festival of Trees.

Emily Shipley, director of NWCC, said she was very pleased with the turnout and said attendance was “spectacular.”

“I love seeing so many people of different ages and see the kids smiling,” she said. “Everyone gets a a hot meal and a warm heart. That’s so special. I think this event fills the center with Christmas magic. It’s fun seeing people connecting with one another.”

After a visit with Santa and breakfast, people had a chance to head over to the library for free sleigh rides and treats from Mrs. Claus until 11 a.m.
