WARSAW — Celebrate Me, a new group for children whose parents or caregivers struggle with addiction, is forming and will hold its first meeting from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Isaiah 11 Ministry, 6256 W. CR 100N, Warsaw. Children and youth ages 8 to 20 are welcome to attend. A free dinner for all attendees will be served during the meeting.
“If it goes well, we plan to have meetings in Milford also,” said Linda Ozier, founder of Isaiah 11 Ministry, a Christian nonprofit organization that offers youth and adult counseling and a pet rescue program.
Ozier consulted with various other groups, such as Celebrate Recovery, LITE, Serenity House, Rose Home and Exodus Ministry, to determine the need for such a program.
Children will have a safe place to express their opinions and thoughts among their peers and recognize they are not alone in dealing with the various issues that arise when a caregiver has an addiction.
Call Ozier at (574) 549-8071 to sign up or for answers to questions.
